Zhewa Cultural Center

An independent, non government Cultural Center

Believed on principles of democratic, freedom and nationality, scientifically and in modern view tip a hand on cultural concepts and wants to serve Kurdish culture especially Hawaram culture, because it seen that been familiar with locals is in the benefit of Kurdish national public services.

Zhewa Center was founded on 17. October.2008 by several pitiers youth and patriotic scholars in Hawraman without pay attention to any different ideology or political believes, for working in several areas. Antagonism with any groups or organizations in our region is out of our basic principles and too far from our aims.

Zhewa Center on the foundation time without any economic sponsors from government or any parties and organizations, did several great activates to serve culture, knowledge and art of the Hawraman:

1. Holding first conference for Hawaramn scholars on 11.July.2009 with Coordination of Mr. Abas Abdulrazaq (General Director of Culture and Art Directorate/ Sulaymaniyah).
2. Awarding noble of (Golden Star of Syachamanah) to three greatest artist of Kurdistan: (Osman Kemnaiy, Jamhil Hawrami and Hamahsen Kemnaiy) on 23.October.2009.
3. Production of T.V serial film (Mother) in Hawrami dialect which contains of 8 parts.
4. Opening a cultural website under title of Zhewa Website (www.Zheway.com) on 1.octobet.2010 in both Hawrami and Sorani dialects.
5. Publishing Zhewa Newspaper, which issued first number on (December.2010) with leave number (451) of Kurdistan Journalist Syndicate on 5.December.2010.
6. Working hard to start first Hawrami TV on the world (Zhewa T.V), to develop Hawaraman's culture and save its sacred with the leave number (…) on 5.July.2011 from ministry of culture of KRG.
7. After certificate (Interior Program of Zhewa Cultural Center) by Ministry of Culture of KRG, nowadays we are trying to get official leave for our center to doing our activities as much as we could.
